Request for Proposals: In Lumine Tuo Grant

The Lumen Christi Institute has been awarded a major grant from the John Templeton Foundation to support “In Lumine Tuo: Expanding and Sustaining the Catholic Intellectual Tradition Nationwide” (Grant # 63614)

Read the full press release here.

In Lumine Tuo builds on the success of the previously awarded In Lumine grant (#62372) and includes two distinct Requests for Proposals: the In Lumine Network Grant and the Ex Umbris Grant (“out of the shadows”). Both will fund projects advancing the Catholic intellectual tradition at non-Catholic colleges and universities with programs addressing three guiding themes:

  • Science as a Gateway to Wonder
  • Intellectual Virtues
  • Noble Purpose for Flourishing

The In Lumine Network Grant will support institutes within the In Lumine Network, which advances the Catholic intellectual tradition at non-Catholic colleges and universities. This grant is restricted to current members of the In Lumine Network.

The Ex Umbris Grant will catalyze Catholic intellectual programming in organizations at non-Catholic colleges and universities outside of the In Lumine Network.

Register for a virtual informational session on July 16 on the Ex Umbris Grant.

Applications are due on August 1, 2025. The application form can be found here.
